申请出国的同学对于offer、AD、rejection这些单词最敏感不过了，在太傻等论坛上频繁出现，牵动着每一个申请者的攸关性命呢。offer，全称是offer letter，汉语解释为录用信、录取通知。所谓offer letter，还没一个统一的名字，有人称之为“录取通知”，有人谓之“录用信”，也有人称为“要约函”。
Offer：在美国，是指学校提供奖学金的录取，也是申请者们翘首盼望的一种录取通知书。而在其他国家，把“学校的录取通知书”统称为offer，不区分是否提供奖学金。
AD：也就是admission，在美国是指“录取通知书”。这就是没有奖学金或者补贴的光秃秃的录取通知书了。
Waiting List：候补申请人名单。总的来说就是对方不是特别想要你，却又觉得舍弃了有点可惜，为了解决这种两难的境地便产生了waiting list。如果拿到offer或者AD的童靴拒绝入校，那么在waiting list上的童靴就可以晋升为AD，获得入学。
Rej或者rejection：别伤心了，申请出国的童靴谁不知道拿到拒信是什么滋味。Rej就是我们常说的拒信了。
