例：yourself, nervous, skirt, shirt, short, horse, bird
2)美国人习惯清辅音浊化/t/
例：writer/rider, latter/ladder, petal/pedal/ city, greeting, water, dirty, letter, pretty
3)字母a的发音
出现在-ss, -st, -th, -ff, -ef, -nce 等前面时，美音把a读为/æ/
例: can’t, last, mask, chance, advantage answer, advance, after, ask, past, branch,castle, pass, example, fast, France, glance, glass, half, staff
4)词尾-ile
例：fertile, hostile, missile, versatile, volatile, sterile,tensile
5)字母u和ew
在l, d, n, t 之后，美音倾向于读/u/ ，而英音倾向读/ju/
