尽管essyas往往与抽象或理论主题有关，但是reports是对情况或事件的描述。 用学术术语来说，它可能会描述：
(a) an experiment you have conducted
(b) a survey you have carried out
(c) a comparison of alternative proposals to deal with a situation
不同的在于：
