Brandon University values academic excellence. Board of Governors (BOG) Entrance Scholarships will automatically be offered to students who have graduated from a Canadian high school with Grade 11 or 12 marks of 85% or higher. Scholarship eligibility shall include Grade 11 marks if students apply before March 1 of the year they graduate from high school. Students who apply after JUNE 30 shall have their eligibility assessed on final Grade 12 grades.

Board of Governors Entrance Scholarships
Students who are awarded BOG Entrance Scholarships on the basis of grade 11 marks may have their award increased should Grade 12 averages at graduation result in a higher award. In no case shall the award be reduced. Check out our Scholarship Database for a complete list of first-year scholarships and bursaries. Once you have your student number and email, you can apply online through the Student Information System.

Advanced Placement (AP) Courses
Students entering first year will be awarded $250 for each Advanced Placement (AP) course with a grade of 5 and $175 for each AP course with a grade of 4. These amounts will be in addition to any amounts awarded under the BOG Entrance Scholarships.
International Baccalaureate (IB) Program
Students entering first year who have completed the entire International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma will receive a scholarship in the following amounts:
Students will either receive the IB diploma award or the BOG Entrance award as determined by largest dollar value.
Students entering first year, who have completed one or more individual IB courses, will receive a scholarship for excellence in individual courses according to the following scale:
