Scholarships are awarded primarily based on merit. They do not need to be repaid after graduation.
UO Scholarships
The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships offers a number of scholarships to UO students through centrally administered scholarship programs.
Scholarships for Incoming Freshmen
Some scholarships for incoming freshmen require an additional and separate application. Others are awarded automatically based on the materials in your undergraduate application for admission and/or the financial information in your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Out-of-State Residents
General University Scholarship Program
General University Scholarships are awarded on the basis of scholastic achievement, and selection is highly competitive. They are made possible by the generous contributions of many individuals to the University of Oregon.
Award Information
Individual awards for 2017-2018 will range from $1000 - $3,000 and will be awarded for one year only.
Eligibility Requirements
3.50 cumulative GPA for undergraduate and graduate students; 3.25 cumulative GPA for law students.
How to Apply
Freshmen
Incoming freshmen are automatically considered for General University Scholarships by completing the undergraduate admission application by January 15, 2017.
No separate General University Scholarship application is required for incoming freshmen.
All Non-Freshman Applicants
Submit the General University Scholarship Application by February 15, 2017. The 2017-18 General University Scholarship application is now closed. In addition to the online application, all applicants must complete the following to receive full review:
Request that an instructor or professor submit the faculty recommendation form along with a letter of recommendation to the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships by February 24, 2017.
If you are a transfer student, new graduate applicant, or a new law applicant you are also required to submit the following:
An application for admission to the University of Oregon submitted by February 15, 2017
Official Transcripts must be received by the Office of Admissions by February 24, 2017. (Incoming graduate students will need to provide transcripts to the Office of Admissions even if they have already supplied them to their academic department)Selection Criteria
Academic performance based on review of transcripts from all past institutions and UO academic records (if applicable)
SAT or ACT scores (for freshmen)
Extracurricular involvement
Faculty recommendation (for continuing, transfer, graduate, and law students)
Writing ability
Creativity as demonstrated in the essaysLate or incomplete applications will not be considered.
Scholarship Renewal
General University Scholarships are awarded for one year only. Students are encouraged to reapply each year.
Award Notification
Freshmen recipients will be notified by April 1. Nonfreshman recipients will be notified by May 15.

General University Scholarship
奖学金根据学业成绩颁发，竞争十分激烈。奖学金由许多个人的慷慨捐赠得以设立。
奖学金金额
2017-2018 学年度的单项奖金额将在1000美元到3000美元之间，只有一年期限。

入学申请——提交给俄勒冈大学、2017年2月15日截止;
官方成绩单——提交给招生办、2017年2月24日截止。研究生新生在向所在学院提交成绩单之后，仍然需要向招生办提交成绩单。
筛选标准
(1)学业表现。审查你在所有就读过的学校取得的成绩和你的在俄勒冈大学的学业记录(适用的话);
(2)SAT 或ACT 成绩(新生);
(3)课外活动成绩;
(4)学院推荐(继续就读的学生、转学生、研究生和法律专业学生);
(5)写作能力;
(6)创造能力(以essay形式考察)。
奖学金更新
General University Scholarship期限仅为一年。建议学生每年都申请。
获奖通知
新生获奖者在4月1日接到通知。非新生获奖者在5月15日接到通知。
School of Music and Dance
Music Performance Scholarships
Each student who auditions for the School of Music and Dance is automatically considered for a music scholarship. There is no additional scholarship application. Applicants must meet all application and audition deadlines.
