In order to enter Degree programs, students have to take and pass theentrance examinations and an interview conducted by Kobe University. Followingare the general information on eligibility, selection method, and admissioninformation for each Faculty / Graduate School.

1.Eligibility
Applicants must be foreign nationals who do not hold Japanese nationalityand have successfully completed 12 years of school education or the equivalent.Those who are expected to graduate by March 31 of the year they are entering arealso eligible.
Those who have taken “Examinations for Japanese University forInternational Students EJU” and the examinations conducted by each Faculty, andearned sufficient scores required by the Faculty.
*Since most undergraduate classes are taught in Japanese, an advanced levelof Japanese language skill is required in order to be enrolled as undergraduatestudents. Many degree-seeking international undergraduate students first studyJapanese courses at private language schools before entering KobeUniversity.

申请人必须为非日本国籍公民，必须已经成功完成12年学校教育或者同等教育。入学当年3月31日之前有望毕业的学生也可以申请。

Selection Method
“Entrance Examination for Privately-financed International Students” isconducted by each Faculty. Students are selected based on the combination offaculty examinations, interview, the test results of EJU, and academic records.Examination subjects vary according to each Faculty.

1. Obtain Application Information and Application Forms
When to request
Application information is available on the Faculty’s website and also onthe website of Japan Study Support. However in order to apply, applicants haveto obtain the original application forms. Each Faculty distributes applicationforms at certain period usually once a year.
Where and how to request
Applicants can obtain application forms by requesting by post. Whenrequesting by post, be sure to enclose a return envelope with the necessarystamp attached to the Student Affairs Section of the respective Faculty.
* The return envelope should be a size that can enclose an A4-size Legalsize without folding the forms.
* Please attach the necessary amount of stampage to the returnenvelope.

How to Find Out the Result

If accepted, applicants must make the payment of admission fee by banktransfer, and submit the necessary documents.

Secure Accommodation
There are University housings and other accommodation that students canapply for through the university, but these rooms are limited. Please use the“Kobe University Student Apartment Search System” to look for privateapartments. This system has been established with Nasic National StudentInformation Center for Kobe University international students. Students can alsouse this search system to reserve an apartment from overseas. It is available in4 languages (Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean) and will also supportstudents with lease agreement.
Students can also search apartment through Kobe University Co-op ServiceCenter after arrival in Kobe.
Reserve an airplane ticket and purchase a traveler’s insurance.(Recommended but optional) (when applicants resides overseas)
