This is a list of the major scholarships for privately financedinternational students. Scholarships are granted based on the student’s academicrecord and financial situation. Some scholarships require diplomas, and academictranscripts from your university. Your faculty or graduate school can provideyou with more information on how to apply.

Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship
(Application times vary based on application method)
Graduate students
Eligibility：Applicants must be less than 35 years old and currentlyenrolled in a graduate course or planning to enroll in a graduate course.
Amount per month
Masters: JPY 144,000
Doctorate: JPY 145,000 (2016 rate)
Duration Until completion of course
Undergraduate students
Eligibility：Applicants must plan to be in their fourth year of universitybefore turning 26 years old. Applicants with majors in medical or veterinaryscience must plan to be in their sixth year before turning 28 years old.

Duration 1 year

申请资格：申请者必须少于35岁，并且目前登记了研究生课程，或者是计划登记研究生课程。
每月额度：硕士：JPY 144,000;博士：JPY 145,000 (2016年标准)

申请资格：申请者必须在26岁之前，计划开始大学第四年的学习。医学或者兽医科学专业的申请者必须计划在28岁之前，计划开始第6年的学习。

If you would like more than two hard copies, pleaseconsult with JASSO before submitting your request.
