Entrance Exam for International StudentsThere is an entrance exam systemfor international students who want to pursue a degree at Rikkyo University.Applicants will be subject to one of the following assessment processes: (1)admission by written exam and interview or (2) admission by document screening.Students will enroll in April.
Applicant Qualifications: For applicants outside of the Japanese educationsystem, Rikkyo requires a minimum of five years of education for admissionconsideration, equivalent to Japan’s grades 7 through 12.

Admission TimingWhile many graduate schools have April admission, theGraduate School of Business and the Graduate Degree Program in LanguageSciences, Graduate School of Intercultural Communication offer Septemberadmission. Please be aware that the entrance exam dates are different for Apriland September admission.

Application Qualifications

Master’s Programs
Applicants who are applying for admission in April 2016 must fulfill one ofthe following qualifications:
1. Have graduated or expect to graduate from a university in March 2016Note1
2. Have been awarded an undergraduate degree by the National Institutionfor Academic Degrees or expect to be awarded such a degree by March 31, 2016
3. Have completed or expect to complete 16 years of school education in acountry outside of Japan by March 31, 2016
4. Have completed a specialized course at a specialized training collegedesignated by the Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science andTechnology on or after the date determined by the minister or expect to completesuch a course by March 31, 2016
5. Are designated by the Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports,Science and Technology
6. Are recognized by a graduate school of Rikkyo University as possessingcapabilities equivalent to or greater than those of a university graduate andwill be 22 years of age as of March 31, 2016
Note: 1. “University” in application qualifications 1 refers to a Japaneseuniversity pursuant to the School Education Act.
硕士课程
1.截至2016年三月，已经毕业或即将大学毕业(备注1)
2.截至2016年3月31日，已经获得或即将获得国家学位机构授予的本科学位;
3.截至2016年3月31日，已经完成或即将完成日本以外国家的16年学校教育;
4.截至2016年3月31日，已经完成或即将完成一门专业课，所在学校必须为稳步科学省指定的学校，完成日期必须为文部科学省规定的日期;
5.为文部科学省指定的学生;
6.被立教大学研究生院认定为具备大学毕业生同等或更高能力，并且截至2016年3月31日，年满22周岁。
备注1：申请资格1中的“大学”指符合学校教育法案规定的某一所日本大学。
Doctoral Programs
Applicants who are applying for admission in April 2016 must fulfill one ofthe following qualifications:
1. Have been awarded or expect to be awarded a master’s degree orprofessional degree by March 31, 2016
2. Have completed or expect to complete a regular school education programequivalent to a master’s program or a professional degree program in a countryoutside of Japan by March 31, 2016
3. Are designated by the Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports,Science and Technology
4. Are recognized by a graduate school of Rikkyo University as possessingcapabilities equivalent to or greater than those of a master’s degree holder orprofessional degree holder and will be 24 years of age as of March 31, 2016
博士课程
1.截至2016年3月31日，已经获得或即将获得硕士学位或职业学位;
2.截至2016年3月31日，已经完成或即将完成日本以外国家的硕士课程或职业学位课程同等正规学校教育课程;
3.为文部科学省指定的学生;

Entrance Exam Categories

Rikkyo University’s graduate schools offer the “general entranceexam,” the “entrance exam for working adults,” and the “entrance exam forinternational students.” The Law School offers the “general entrance exam” andthe “entrance exam for scholarships.” Please note that applicationqualifications and the application period are different for each graduate schooland exam category. For more information on the exams, please refer to theadmission guideline. For graduate schools not offering the “entrance exam forinternational students,” please take the exam for the exam category relevant toyou, such as “general entrance exam” and “entrance exam for working adults.”

Entrance Exam for Working Adults
Entrance exam for those who satisfy the application qualifications forMaster’s or Doctoral Programs and meet the professional requirements designatedby the relevant graduate school. Please be sure to complete the applicanteligibility screening before submitting your application.
Entrance Exam for International Students
Entrance exam for those who satisfy the application qualifications forMaster’s or Doctoral Programs, have non-Japanese citizenship, and graduated fromuniversities outside of Japan. Please be sure to complete the applicanteligibility screening before submitting your application.
统一入学考试针对符合上面列出的硕士课程或博士课程资格条件的申请人。

If you are applying for the “entrance exam for international students” orthe “entrance exam for working adults,” please submit the necessary forms beforeapplying for admission, and complete the applicant eligibility screening. Thenecessary forms and the application checklist differ by graduate school. Pleasebe sure to check the admission guidelines of the graduate school you wish toapply to.
