Application Master
一、Consecutive Master’s Degree Programs (except Teaching Degrees)
If you apply for a master's degree program, we will review whether yourprofessional qualifications fulfill the requirements for master's studies inyour chosen program. An application must be submitted for consecutive master'sdegree programs, regardless of whether they are open-admission (no numerusclausus restrictions) or restricted-admission programs.

1. Online Application
The application for most master’s degree programs is done via theuni-assist e.V. application portal. This online portal opens on April 1 forapplications for the winter semester, and on November 1 for the summersemester.
Note: The application portal will open this year on April 3, 2017.
Caution, exceptions!
The application for master’s degree programs that are offered jointly withother academic institutions, as well as for post-graduate master’s degreeprograms (continuing education), is typically done directly with thedepartment.
Your application materials will be reviewed preliminarily by uni-assiste.V. and then forwarded for the next stages – the application review and theadmissions processes – to the relevant Examining Boards at the University ofPotsdam. The University of Potsdam is responsible for conducting the admissionsprocedure.

Application for a later semester
If you have already been enrolled in the same or similar master's degreeprogram at the University of Potsdam or another degree-granting institution,then you must first submit an application for recognition of achievements to therelevant Examining Boards. For assignment to a later semester, please applyinformally to the relevant Examining Board. If you are placed in the firstsemester, then apply as described above through uni-assist e.V.
It is only possible to submit an application for restricted-admissionmaster’s degree programs at the University of Potsdam within thesubject-specific application deadlines.
The application deadlines below are mandatory. Your application must bereceived in the required form by the application deadline. The postmark isdeterminative.
After the deadline has passed, it is no longer possible to submit anapplication or to submit additional documentation.

2. Application Materials
When applying for the first semester, you must submit the followingdocuments in addition to your online application:
A completed and signed admissions application
A simple copy of the German- or English-language degree certificate fromyour first degree (e.g., Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Diplom,Magister). If you do not yet have this degree, then please submit documentationof the grades attained up to the point in time of the application (transcript ofrecords), along with information regarding your current grade point average. Ifyour transcript is in a language other than German or English, then a German orEnglish translation certified by a sworn translator, along with a simple copy ofyour transcript.
A simple copy of diploma supplements, or other relevant documentation fromyour university, regarding all coursework completed for your first professionaldegree. If this coursework was completed at an institution of higher educationother than the University of Potsdam, then information must be providedregarding the form, content and examination modalities of the performanceevaluation process.
The documents listed under 1. and 2. above must be uploaded in theuni-assist e.V. application portal and also submitted by mail to uni-assist e.V.before the application deadline. All other documentation that must be submittedcan be uploaded to the uni-assist e.V. portal
2.申请材料

必须将(1)和(2)所列的文件上传到 uni-assist e.V.申请入口，同时将前述文件邮件给 uni-assiste.V.。必须在申请截止日期之前邮件。所有其他需要提交的文件也必须上传到 uni-assist e.V.。
二、Consecutive teaching-oriented Master’s Degree Programs
Currently there are no admission limits for teaching-oriented master’sdegree programs (no Numerus Clausus). This means that enrollment is possiblewithin certain time periods, after it has been determined that all admissionrequirements are met.

Continuing education master’s degree programs generally require anapplication directly with the desired subject or the institution offering thedegree program. More specific information on the application and enrollmentprocedures can be requested from the department or subject.

四、Cooperative Master’s Degree Programs
Master’s degree programs that are offered in cooperation with otherinstitutions generally require an application directly with the desired subjector another institution offering the program. More specific information on theapplication and enrollment procedures can be requested from the department orsubject.

If you have received an admission notification from the examinationcommittee, and if you fulfill all enrollment requirements, you may enroll for amaster’s degree program.
You may apply for enrollment
for the summer semester from February 15 until May 10
for the winter semester from August 15 until November 10.
Please note: If possible, we recommend that you enroll by the end of March(for the summer semester) or by the end of September (for the winter semester)in order to ensure that you may commence with your studies at the very beginningof the semester.
