Sport scholarships
Nottingham Trent University offers a number of scholarship awards each yearto student athletes from a range of different sports. Each award is individuallytailored towards the needs of the athlete to ensure that everything is put inplace to help them to achieve both academic and sporting success while at NTU,and subsequently enhance the University’s sporting profile and reputation.

Sport specific criteria
In order to qualify for a sport scholarship at NTU you must reach aparticular level within your chosen sport.
Postgraduate Scholarships
Postgraduate scholarships are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Tuition fee waivers can be offered.
Financial bursaries can be offered in addition to the tiered undergraduatescholarships.
International Students

(1)How do I qualify for a Sport Scholarship?
All NTU Sport Scholars must be enrolled on either an undergraduate orpostgraduate degree course at Nottingham Trent University. Applications are alsoopen anyone wishing to come and study at NTU from the following academicyear.

Application to be an NTU Sport Scholar for the next academic year is allyear round but we would encourage you to apply as soon as possible; if you are aprospective student for the next academic year we would encourage you to applybefore, or soon after, you make your final UCAS choices. We work with threedeadlines which will then determine the date before which you will receive adecision from us. The final deadline for any applications for the next academicyear (starting in September) to be received is the end of August however we willaim to make the majority of scholarship allocations before this date.

All NTU Scholars have the following obligations to:
Demonstrate a commitment towards academic studies
Fully commit to representing NTU in BUCS competitions, whereverpossible
Meet with the NTU High Performance Sport Officer at least twice a term
Keep us informed of your progress including any success, such asnational/international selection
Be available for a number of press and PR opportunities over the course ofthe academic year
Wear University Sport Scholarship clothing as provided for NTU fixtures andother appropriate opportunities.
